It's around 7 A.M at the Esplanade' Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall. Rachel is putting her make up in as she steals a moment to herself.
Damo (33) holds Noni (2) on his lap as he helps her to brush her teeth. “She’s a complete mummy magnet”, Says Damo, “she needs constant reassurance from Rach”.
Rachel laid out Hudson’s clothes of the floor, ready for him to put on. Mila on the other hand, is choosing her own clothes now, and making decisions for herself, which is also new parental territory for Damo and Rachel.
Hudon Cross (3yrs) sits cross legged on his bed, an unusual sight to see him still and calm as he stares into the camera.
Leaving the hotel room, Hudson is keen to be the first out the door into the main reception. "He tries to keep up with Mila, he looks up to his sister, though he can’t maintain it, he’s not quite there yet...He’s not old enough. He’s a joker; loves a bit of rough and tumble, but he has a definite sensitive side.” Says Damo, when I ask him about his son.
